Yin Yoga (class)

In yin yoga, we settle into each pose for 3-5 minutes to allow the postures to benefit the body’s deeper tissues, including the joints, ligaments, tendons, and fascia. This is a slow, still, quiet class. It is the perfect way to end the day. Z’s yoga classes are for everybody and every body. His approach is accessible, inclusive, compassionate, well-rounded, safe, non-competitive, and trauma-informed. Their classes and instruction will invite you to slow down, breathe, move mindfully, and use a variety of props to support yourself throughout the practice. Yin yoga is suitable for all levels of practitioners and can be a great choice for beginners.

Rest and Digest (retreat)

If you are ready to learn how to better reduce stress, anxiety, PTSD, depression, or pain, this two-day retreat is for you. Over the course of the weekend, we will explore 21 evidence-based interventions. As your guide for the weekend, Z will strive for cultural humility and competence while exploring these practices by including discussions about the histories, teachings, and theories that informed each culture as they developed these (often ancient) techniques. Additionally, he will pair his knowledge about these topics with hundreds of scientific, peer-reviewed journal articles that demonstrate the potential health benefits of each practice.
